The Old School – Wokingham

Siloam were responsible for converting this derelict Victorian school building in the centre of Wokingham into four separate houses each of about 1500 sq ft.

The original building had 22 ft high ceilings so a mezzanine floor was installed throughout the whole building leaving 11 ft high vaulted ceilings in the first floor bedrooms. In order to give a 10 year warranty the building was re-roofed, had a new damp proof course installed, new double glazed windows and the existing walls were insulated to give 600mm thick walls!

The properties were finished to a high standard with stone tiles and underfloor heating, oak and glass staircases and Villeroy and Boch sanitaryware.
